In the beginning there was the iPod Shuffle and then came the iPod Shuffle "killers". Most of them managed to do what they set out to do, kill the sales of the iPod shuffle. Creative seems to have taken a personal interest and released not one but two...
  • Great build, Custom equalizer, Bass booster, Good battery life.
  • Bad placement of loudspeaker, Loudspeaker is somewhat shrill, Data transfer speed is low.
  • I get a feeling that Creative wants to make its mark in the portable music player segment. It did well with the Muvo T200 and the Creative Zen Stone Plus was also well accepted. Now adding a loudspeaker to it was just a way to stand out in the crowd...

  • Good sound quality, Responsive interface...
  • FM radio pickup not too good, Highs are a little bit shrill...
  • There’s nothing drastically different in the new Zen Stone Plus except the built-in speaker. If you’ve read my review on the previous model, this may seem rather redundant. But for those of you who haven’t, let me clue you in on on...

  • Extra features are of little benefit...

The Zen Stone and Stone Plus was successful when first released in terms of price and features- giving them an edge over the iPod Shuffle. Since then the Sansa Clip and the price cut of the Shuffle have given the Stones more noticeable competition...

I know it's unreasonable, but when I hear someone playing music through the tinny little speaker on their mobile phone - whether on the bus or walking down the street - I experience violent urges. I dream of tearing the offending implement from their gras...
  • The Plus isn't a bad portable player. In fact if you absolutely have to have speaker output, there's no competition (literally). Samsung's speaker-equipped S5 is much more expensive and bigger too.Build and accessories have improved over the previous vers...
